Refund policy
Overview
Spectacular Supplies is committed to providing products that meet acceptable standards of quality, functionality, and durability.
This policy operates in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (South Africa), including the applicable 6-month implied warranty of quality under Section 56 of the CPA.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below.
Eligible Refunds & Replacements
Refunds, replacements, or resolutions may be approved where:
- A product arrives damaged
- A product is defective or not functioning as intended
- The incorrect item or variant was received
- A product materially differs from its description
- An order is confirmed lost in transit by the courier provider
All claims are subject to review and verification.
Clear photo or video evidence may be required before a claim can be approved.
Non-Eligible Claims
Refunds, replacements, or warranty claims will not be approved for:
- Damage caused after delivery
- Misuse, negligence, improper handling, or accidental damage
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow instructions
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Normal wear and tear
- Customer ordering errors, including incorrect variants or products
- Claims submitted without sufficient supporting evidence
- Products returned in unsellable or incomplete condition where applicable
Spectacular Supplies reserves the right to reject claims that do not meet policy requirements or CPA conditions.
Change of Mind Returns
Change of mind returns are not automatically accepted and may only be approved if all of the following conditions are met:
- Item is unused
- Item remains in original packaging
- Item is returned in resellable condition
- Return request is submitted within the applicable return period
If approved:
- Return shipping costs remain the customer’s responsibility
- Original shipping fees may be deducted from the refund amount
- Refunds are processed after inspection and approval of the returned item
Used, damaged, incomplete, or non-resellable items will not qualify for change of mind returns.
6-Month Warranty
In accordance with Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, qualifying products include a 6-month implied warranty of quality under normal intended use.
Where a verified defect occurs within this period, the customer may be entitled to:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
The appropriate resolution will be determined after inspection and assessment of the product and claim.
This warranty does not apply to:
- Misuse or negligence
- Accidental damage
- Improper installation or handling
- Unauthorized repairs or alterations
- Normal wear and tear
Claims Process
To submit a claim, customers must provide:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Relevant photo or video evidence
Additional information or product return may be required before a final resolution is provided.
Claims are typically reviewed within 1–3 business days.
Refund & Replacement Timeframes
Approved refunds are generally processed within 5–10 business days depending on payment providers and banking institutions.
Approved replacements are typically dispatched within 3–7 business days, subject to stock availability.
Shipping Responsibility
Where a claim is approved due to:
- Defect
- Incorrect item
- Delivery damage
Spectacular Supplies will cover applicable return or replacement shipping costs.
For approved change of mind returns:
- Return shipping remains the customer’s responsibility
- Shipping fees may be deducted from refund amounts where applicable
Important Information
All claims remain subject to verification and inspection.
This policy does not limit or override any rights available to consumers under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
Spectacular Supplies reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
